In an interview with Participacion Ciudadana representative, lawyer Francisco Alvarez Castellanos, suspended judge Awilda Reyes confirmed she had kept the money given to her for the ruling in favor of releasing Pedro Brand Councilor Ericson de los Santos. Hoy publishes the conversation that took place with Alvarez Castellanos on 2 November 2015 where she reveals details of controversial events involving the resigning member of the president of the Supreme Court of Justice Mariano German, National Council of Judicial Branch (CPJ) Francisco Arias Valera, former Attorney General Radhames Jimenez and lawyer Carlos Balcacer who has acted in defense of Arias Valera. A second meeting with Participacion Ciudadana representatives was held on 27 November 2015. The meetings were arranged reportedly because Awilda Reyes feared for her safety. Nevertheless, her lawyer Tomas Castro did not attend these meetings with her.
