Minister of the Presidency Gustavo Montalvo has announced the 2015 figures for the 911 National Emergency and Security Service, which show a 37% increase in services provided compared to 2014. There was also a 3% reduction in nuisance calls over the same time period.
Last year showed that the addition of a noise complaint element to the service resulted in 110,342 calls, leading to the confiscation of thousands of music systems.
Video surveillance cameras recorded a total of 49,080 incidents last year, leading to several arrests.
