Direct flight from Antigua to Santo Domingo

InterCaribbean Airways announced the start of a scheduled service from Antigua (ANU-VC Bird International Airport) to Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport on 9 December 2015.

The twice-weekly direct service with 30 seats per flight is seen as a boost for Antiguan and Dominican tourism as well as serving the large community of Dominicans living in Antigua, according to Antigua’s Tourism Minister Asot Michael on the occasion of the start of the flight.

The flight schedule is:

Flight JY631 Santo Domingo-Antigua departs on Saturday at 6:10 pm and arrives at 8:10 pm.

The return flight JY632 departs Antigua at 7:45am and arrives in Santo Domingo at 9:45 am.

The airline has plans to expand service to Punta Cana in order to allow for same day connections with other European airlines, including Aeroflot from Russia that connects via the major Dominican tourism hub, according to an airline release.
