The PQD candidate for overseas deputy Yunis Segura has rejected the Medina administration’s proposed Instituto de Bienestar Social en el Exterior ((INBIDOEX), a new government department for social welfare in the Diaspora, warning that the government proposes to fund it with a 5% tax on remittances.
Segura said that the proposed tax would be abusive and unfair. She opposes the bill that was approved by the Chamber of Deputies in June 2015.
