Civil society watchdog group Participacion Ciudadana has come out publicly to state what is too apparent. The Medina administration would seem to be the leading advertiser in the country.
Tune in to any radio program or TV program, and advertisements from the government dominate.
Last year the government spent upwards of RD$10 million a day on advertising, says Participacion Ciudadana.
Participacion Ciudadana says that the ruling PLD party also appears among the top 10 advertisers in the country.
In the same vein, Participacion Ciudadana says that 44% of the billboards on streets and highways promote PLD candidates.
