Economist Nassim Alemany of Deloitte says that a new trend has prevailed since mid-2014: women earning more than men in the DR. He says that men were traditionally paid over 10% more than women for the same jobs. In recent years, however, women’s wages have been increasing, and are now 2.7% higher than the average for men.
