El Prodigio (Krency Garcia) is booked for a performance tomorrow evening, Friday, 19 February 2016 at F Dance and Drink on Calle del Sol in Santiago de los Caballeros.
El Prodigio is a famous accordionist known for his grassroots merengue (merengue tipico) and salsa performances. His music is experimental and he has merged traditional merengue tipico with genres like jazz, including instruments such as trombone, trumpet, drums, guira, conga, electric bass and saxophone. Born in Cabrera on the north coast, he immigrated to the US as a child and studied music at the Harlem School of the Arts.
