The man who was designated as the consultant for Danilo Medina’s presidential campaign, Leonel Fernandez, who is also the PLD party president, is currently visiting Bolivia as head of mission for the Organization of American States (OAS) that is observing a referendum that was held on Sunday, 21 February 2016.
Some 6.5 million Bolivians went to the polls to vote on a constitutional reform proposal to allow their current President, Evo Morales to run again in 2019. According to the OAS delegation, voting went ahead peacefully with no incidents. Initial results show the no vote leading by eight points.
