Two Dominicans identified as dead in the Cayman Isles

After six months, Cayman police have identified the bodies of two men discovered in a fishing boat drifting off the coast of Little Cayman in August 2015. The exact cause of death could not be established. Both were identified using DNA samples, 37-year old Eduard Eugenio Taveras Toribio and 58-year old Manuel Henriquez. They were living and working as fishermen in Jamaica and had gone out on a fishing trip.

Police believe their boat engine failed and they drifted until discovered by a police vessel. It was impossible to establish the cause of death due to the condition of the bodies but no signs of violence were detected.

Dead fishermen were from Dominican Republic
