A Metropolitan Transport Authority (AMET) spokesman has announced that the road between Jarabacoa and Constanza is once again open at km 8 after having been blocked by a mudslide. Heavy trucks were used to shift the rocks that had fallen down from the mountain and although there is still some debris on the road, it is passable again.
