The Police in San Cristobal said that the bank robbers stole RD$80,000 from the Adopem bank in San Cristobal and not RD$800,000 as had originally been reported. The Police is investigating the case. What is known is that on Tuesday, 8 March 2016 two armed men carried out an armed robbery at the Adopem Bank branch on Av. Maria Trinidad Sanchez in the city of San Cristobal before getting away on a motorcycle with the money in a black plastic bag.
