The International Documentary Festival (RDoc) opened in Santo Domingo this weekend, 12-13 March 2016. The festival, conceived by Ana Paola Van Dalen Alejandro Andujar from Spain, brings together producers from Latin America, Central America, the Caribbean and the DR to screen their documentaries. The festival has the backing of the IDFA Bertha Fund, the Centro Cultural de Espana and the Cinemateca Dominicana of DRCine, the Dominican governmental movie office.
It will continue through Thursday, 17 March 2016.
The films are being shown at the Cinemateca Dominicana in Plaza de la Cultura, CCESD, The Colonial Gate and La Apargateria in the Colonial City.
Now in its third year, 34 films (including 14 short films) from 17 countries are on the festival’s program.
