Dreamliner shows off at Las Americas

Air Europa Boeing 787 Dreamliner with capacity for 296 passengers has arrived on an exhibition flight to Las Americas Airport.

The new airline, part of the Air Europa fleet, will be based in Barajas airport in Madrid from November this year.

On arrival at Las Americas yesterday, Monday 4 April 2016, it was met by the traditional welcome ceremony with fire trucks lining the runway spraying water from both sides using their fire hoses.

The aircraft is made of new materials that are lighter and it uses less fuel making it environmentally superior to other planes of the same size.

There is a business class section for 22 passengers, and all passengers can take advantage of satellite WiFi.
