The Police Anti Narcotics Department has arrested a Dominican Army officer along with other three people on the Navarrete-Puerto Plata road while they were carrying out a transaction involving five packages of marijuana weighing around 40 pounds.
The arrested officer was Second Lieutenant Jonathan Eduardo Rosa Rodriguez, who was in a BMW M3 car and was also in possession of a 9mm pistol.
The other men arrested were Alejandro Antonio Moronta Martinez who was with Rosa Rodriguez, and another two people, Daniel Alfonso Salvador Victoria and Yolendi Miguel Suero Taveras.
They will all appear in court shortly.
