Zogby Analytics: Medina 49.1%, Abinader 44.3%

President Danilo Medina would receive 49.1% of the vote and Luis Abinader of the PRM would get 44.3% said 2,198 eligible voters polled nationwide by the US firm, Zogby Analytics from 18 to 20 March 2016 when asked if the election were held on that day for whom would they vote for on 15 May 2016.

The other candidates are Guillermo Moreno 2.7%, Minou Tavarez 0.5%, Pelegrin Castillo 0.4%, Hatuey Decamps 0.2% and 2.8% undecided. The poll has a margin of error of 3.1%.

In Greater Santo Domingo, Danilo Medina would get 50.4% of the vote, Luis Abinader 42.7%, Guillermo Moreno 3.2%, Minou Tavarez 0.4%, Pelegrin Castillo 0.7%, Hatuey Decamps 0.4% and undecided 2.2%.

In the Dominican Republic, 50%+1 of the vote is necessary to win on the 15 May 2016 date without the holding of a second round of voting in June.
