Gallup poll says main problem is crime

According to a Gallup poll published in Hoy newspaper, the three main problems affecting Dominican society are crime, unemployment and the high cost of living.

The poll showed that 53.2% of the population thinks the main problem is crime, 46% unemployment and 44% inflation.

The survey was carried out from 13 to 19 of April 2016 with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.4%.

The respondents were less concerned about administrative corruption, impunity, domestic violence, femicides, low salaries, environmental pollution, external debt and extreme poverty.
