El Dia reports that Juan Manuel Moline Rodriguez will be released from jail this Thursday, 5 May 2016, after spending 20 years in jail. He was sentenced to 20 years in jail for complicity in the brutal murder of 12-year old Jose Rafael Llenas Aybar who was stabbed 34 times by his cousin Mario Jose Redondo Llenas. Moline was 18 years old, and Redondo was 19 years old at the time of the crime. Moline Rodriguez was in jail in Najayo Jail in San Cristobal. Moline has served the sentence since 5 May 1996 when he was arrested together with Redondo Llenas who is serving a 30-year sentence for the crime in San Pedro de Macoris jail.
The boy went missing on 3 May 1996 and was found dead with his hands and feet bound with adhesive tape in the Arroyo Lebron off Km 24 of the Duarte Highway.
