At least 10 polling companies were right in their predictions for the re-election of President Danilo Medina in a first round, reports Diario Libre in compiling the polls. According to the fifth bulletin issued today, Tuesday 17 May 2016, Medina will win 62% to 35% for Luis Abinader.
They were: Mark Penn-Grupo SIN, 62%; Cedemers 61.8%; Greenberg-Diario Libre (60%); Gallup (63%); Cid Latinoamericana (63%); Sigma Dos (64%); Expeditions Strategies (65%); Benenson Strategy (66%); Newlink (54.6%) and Alfonso Cabrera y Asociados (50.1%).
