In the fifth bulletin issued by the Central Electoral Board (JCE) yesterday, Monday 16 May 2016 at the congressional level the ruling PLD party was winning in 28 provinces of the 32, the PRM in two, the PRSC in one and the BIS in one. Previously, the ruling PLD had all but one of the Senate seats.
The PLD was winning in Dajabon, Azua, Barahona, La Altagracia, Bahoruco, Duarte, Elias Pina, Espaillat, Hato Mayor, Independencia, La Romana, La Vega, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Monsenor Nouel, Monte Cristi, Hermanas Mirabal, Samana, San Cristobal, San Juan, Sanchez Ramirez, Santiago, Santiago Rodriguez, Santo Domingo, National District, Monte Plata, Pedernales and Peravia.
The PRM is winning in El Seibo (Santiago Zorilla), Puerto Plata (Ignacio Paliza) and Valverde-Mao (Eddy Nolasco). The PRSC with Jose Hazim was leading in San Pedro de Macoris and the BIS is leading in San Jose de Ocoa with Pedro Alegria.
