Supreme Electoral Court will be busy

So far the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) has received 29 complaints about the elections, with calls for recounts or the annulment of specific elections and calling new ones.

The PRM candidate for senator for Maria Trinidad Sanchez (Nagua) province, Alexis Victoria Yeb has asked the TSE to suspend the proclamation of the winner by the Municipal Electoral Board in Nagua as the PLD candidate and is asking for a manual count of the votes.

The PRM candidate for mayor in Las Yayas de Viajama, Carmen Melia Ramirez, is asking for a recount at the municipal level as is the PLD candidate for mayor in Luperon, Puerto Plata, Danilo Morrobel.

A PRSC candidate for deputy, Primitiva Medina Tapia, is also asking for a manual count at the congressional level and deputy candidate for the PRSD in Santo Domingo province, Pedro Abad, is asking for new elections to be held on the grounds that neither his name nor photograph were on the ballot paper.
