Four candidates for Senate seats in the 15 May elections have asked the Central Electoral Board (JCE) to declare the elections null and void in the National District on the grounds that they were fraudulent and in violation of electoral law and the Constitution.
Alberto Atallah of the PRM, Aura Celeste Fernandez from AlPais, Vinicio Castillo Seman of the FNP and Carlos de Pena of the APD have issued a written statement arguing that the best solution is to hold new elections due to the irregularities and fraudulent acts that took place and that according to them have invalidated the elections.
