VH Hotels (Gran Ventana and Casa Colonial hotels) in Playa Dorada was elected to preside the Destination Puerto Plata Tourism Cluster for 2016-2018 during a board meeting held on 25 May 2016. The vote took place on 11 May 2016.
VH Hotels is represented by Roberto Casoni. He replaces Aerodom, the manager of the Puerto Plata International Airport, and Maximo Iglesias who presided the organization over the past two terms. The other board members include the Puerto Plata Chamber of Commerce (CCPPP), represented by Sixto Peralta and/or Amaury Pla, Aerodom, represented by Maximo Iglesias, and the Sosua-Cabarete Hotels and Restaurants Association (Ashoresoca) represented by Jose Luis Mejia.
Other members of the board are: the Playa Dorada Hotels, Condominiums and Commercial Establishments Owners’ Association (AHPD), represented by Marco Villanueva, the Northern Hotels and Tourism Enterprises Association (ASHONORTE), represented by Jose Natalio Redondo and/or Juana La Hoz, the Tour Operators’ Association (Opetur), represented by Mitchell Musa, the Dominican Tourism Press Association (Adompretur), represented by Aridio Perdomo, the American Chamber of Commerce, represented by Roman Medina Diplan, the Visions and Dreams Foundation (FVS), represented by Sixto Peralta, Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort by Yohani Casilla and/or Fatima Gonzalez, Brugal & Co, represented by Fernando Ortega Zeller, BanReservas by Deyanira Papaterra, and Hormigones del Atlantico, represented by Maireni Bournigal.
