Two men injured the security guard at the ADEMI Bank branch in La Vega and committed an armed robbery yesterday, Thursday 9 June 2016. The guard was hospitalized and his condition is described as stable.
The armed robbers were standing in line at the bank before shooting at the security guard who was identified as Hilario Perez Reyes and demanding cash from the tellers. The Police reports that the robbery occurred at 1:30pm. According to eyewitnesses, two accomplices were waiting outside the bank in an unidentified vehicle. Surveillance video footage is now being viewed as part of investigations into the case.
