President Danilo Medina has expressed solidarity with his US counterpart President Barack Obama for the massacre in the discotheque in Orlando, Florida where 49 people were killed and over 50 are injured in the early hours of Sunday morning, 12 June 2016.
He said that in the name of the country and the government as well as himself he sends his deepest condolences, in a letter sent to Obama via the Ministry of Foreign Relations.
Medina also conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and all of those affected.
It is known that two Dominicans, Juan Ramon Guerrero and Juan Aracena were killed in the attack.
