Ibero-American Securities Summit ends in Santo Domingo

Dominican Superintendent of Securities Gabriel Castro highlighted the importance of the securities market to finance country development when speaking at the opening of the Ibero-American Securities Summit in Santo Domingo. The event at the Central Bank auditorium took place on 14-15 June 2016. Castro highlighted that the basis for a securities system is having the regulations in place that comply with international standards. The Summit, which was organized by the Dominican Republic Securities Superintendence, focused on success stories and best practices in markets abroad that could be applied in the Dominican Republic.

Securities superintendents from Spain, Peru, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay and Costa Rica attended the meeting.
