The Claro telecommunications company has announced that it has the exclusive rights to transmit the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games for the Dominican Republic. The company says it will broadcast more than 3,200 hours of Olympic action. Claro Sports says it has three HD channels available for the coverage of the Games 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Claro Sorts Rio 1, 2 and 3 will be available as of 3 August. A free app Clarosports is downloadable free for iOS, Android and Windows Phone from 1 August.
