Bosch family complains about lottery ticket

The family of the late founder of the Dominican Liberation Party, Professor Juan Bosch has asked the director of the National Lottery, Jose Francisco Pena Tavarez to make public amends to the family for having included the photograph of the political leader on a lottery ticket that was launched on Sunday 26 June 2016.

Josefina Perez-Gavino, great niece of Bosch, sent a letter to Pena in the name of the family where she says that the ticket had been issued without their authorization and that Bosch never played the lottery not supported it as he believed it to be a vice.

The ticket was launched to celebrate the birthday of Bosch.

On Monday, 27 June 2016, Pena Tavarez gave instructions to his staff to not order new prints of lottery tickets with the photograph of Juan Bosch. He apologized to the family for using the photo in the Sunday lottery tickets.
