Congressman Lee Terry, (R. Nebraska) is currently visiting the Dominican Republic with the aim of assisting the development of some of the frontier provinces. Terry met with the editors of the Listin to explain his visit. He talked about the interest of investors to place their money in the frontier provinces under the protection of Law 28-01 as well as the DR-CAFTA agreements. He was accompanied on his visit by evangelical pastors Cint Dodd and Jim Moore and legislators from the frontier province of Independencia. Terry has already provided more than 40 computers for schools along the frontier. Terry said that under Law 28-01 he was sure that US, German and Korean investors would be willing to locate businesses in these, the poorest of provinces.
