Technicians from the Office of the Metro began to sketch out the areas along the Maximo Gomez Avenue that would house the different stations of the subway system, as well as the different access points along the way. Beforehand, personnel of the project had notified officials of the different businesses along the right-of-way. At the intersections of Pena Batlle and Tunti Caceres with Maximo Gomez personnel from Antillana Comercial and Tecni-Caribe were notified they would lose most of their parking lot. A nearby Isla gasoline station is also going to give way to a metro station. Opinions, according to the Listin Diario, were divided as to the good or the bad of the metro.
