Singer Maridalia Hernandez has secured her release from contractual commitment with Bienvenido Rodriguez. Legal representatives of the president of the Karen Records company and the singer signed the document that put an end to the legal dispute that had been going on since 1996. The singer is now free to resume her career. Maridalia Hernandez reached stardom as a singer in the 4-40 Group of Juan Luis Guerra. In 1993 she decided to go on her own and signed with Karen Records, the same company that promoted the music of Juan Luis Guerra. Three years later, the singer sued asking for her release. Rodriguez responded that she had not fulfilled contractual agreements.
