PRD partisan judges?

Secretary general of the government party, the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Reinaldo Pared Perez said yesterday that 20 to 22 judges have refused to authorized state prosecutors to search the offices of former officers of the past government. Pared Perez said that it is apparent that the judges respond to PRD party guidelines and thus have rejected the requests of the prosecutors. I can say that we had to request authorization from not one or two judges last week to find one willing to authorize the search of the offices of former minister of Agriculture, Eligio Jaquez, he told journalists when interviewed upon attending the Circulo de Montevideo meeting at Funglode.

Pared Perez sent journalists to the Attorney General Francisco Dominguez Brito’s office, to inquire on the obstacles his prosecutors have had in investigating PRD former government officers.
