The president of the Association of Exporters (Adoexpo), Jose Antonio Flaquer Lopez said that if the exchange rate continues as it is, it will negatively affect Dominican exports and the flow of hard currency to the country. As reported in Hoy newspaper, he said that in a planned way, the exchange rate should be allowed to reflect the production costs of companies and be competitive. He said that Adopexpo does not want the days of exchange rate instability to return. Flaquer Lopez considers that the Central Bank should intervene in the monetary activity, but that its participation should not cause distortions in the exchange rate.
