Manuel Diez Cabral, president of Diesco in the Dominican Republic, announced the company has signed an agreement with Goldman Sachs Group for RD$4 billion. The deal is the first time Goldman Sachs will invest in the country. Diez made the announcement after meeting with President Danilo Medina at the Presidential Palace.
Diez Cabral said the funding will enable the company to accelerate its vision to expand in the Dominican Republic and the region. He said the funding will create added opportunities to enter new markets and innovate in new products and services that contribute to the development of the economy in the country in the short and medium term.
