The National Statistics Office (ONE) has a record of 2,978 fuel retail stations as of 2015). 51.2% sell diesel and gasoline, 24.9% sell propane gas and 1.3% sell natural gas.
Most of the stations are located in Santo Domingo (18.1%), the National District (8.2%), Santiago (11%), Monte Plata (5.3%) and San Cristóbal (5%).
Fuel stations make up 0.7% of all registered business in the country, a total of 457,095 according to the National Business Registry (RNE 2014-2015).
