Enrique A. Ramírez Paniagua, director of the Customs Agency (DGA), met with the Economic Development Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath of Curacao to look into ways both countries can increase trade. Rhuggenaath was accompanied by public and private sector representatives from Curacao.
Ramírez outlined DGA’s vision and recent actions taken to modernize the customs agency and summarized current strategies that will continue to make the country attractive for foreign investment. Ramírez proposed the signing of a cooperation agreement for exchange of information and security to strengthen commercial ties between the two island nations.
