Young Elizabeth Suarez, just 13, won the Codigo Fama Internacional” (International Code Fame) contest in Mexico. Her father, watching on television, had to be attended by a doctor as his blood pressure went out of control. Transmitted on Televisa to the whole nation, Elizabeth impressed the judges with her poise and talent. There were more than 20 contestants. According to the Listin Diario, it was TV personality Zoila Luna who had heard the little girl singing at a private party and recommended her to the people at Telemicro in Santo Domingo. Isabel Aracena and Jose Enrique Pintor prepared the young talent for her grand success. By winning the Diamond Code, young miss Suarez has a chance to be featured in the next juvenile TV novel produced by Rosy Ocampo, and will be sponsored in her singing career by Televisa, the largest television empire in Latin America.
