TV program for President Fernandez

Just as former President Hipolito Mejia had a weekly Sunday evening TV show during which he discussed topical national issues, President Leonel Fernandez will get his show starting this Sunday. Clave Digital online news agency says that the show is based on Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias’s weekly show. It is produced by TV veteran Ellis Perez, the current Aerodom airports spokesman, and a former minister of tourism and Major League Baseball broadcaster. The show, “The President’s Agenda” will be transmitted by TeleAntillas, Channel 2 on Sunday as of 8 pm.

As reported, in the opening show President Fernandez will discuss recent measures taken by the government and those that will be taken in the future with his economic team – Technical Minister of the Presidency Temistocles Montas, Governor of the Central Bank Hector Valdez Albizu, Finance Minister Vicente Bengoa and Superintendent of Banks Rafael Camilo.

A section of the program, Dialogue with the President, will feature questions from citizens and answers from the President.

Diario Libre mentions that the President may not appear on every episode of the program.

The program will be transmitted at different time slots on Telefuturo (Channel 23), Telecentro (Channel 13), Red Nacional de Noticias (Channel 27), Coral (Channel 39) and CERTV (Channel 4).
