The Dominican Republic has come third in the III Dominoes World Championship held in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico between 29 May and 2 June. Jacobo Herrera and Radhames Rodriguez of the DR competed against 100 doubles from all over the world. Radhames Rodriguez won third place in the individual category. First place went to Mexico and second place to Venezuela. The event was organized by the International Domino Federation and the Mexican Domino Federation. It was announced that the DR will host the event in 2007.
