Juan Luis Guerra in Boston

El Caribe reports on Juan Luis Guerra, whose concert at Agganis Arena in Boston was attended by a euphoric crowd at the end of his American tour. The Dominican superstar and his band showed little signs of exhaustion despite having performed in Orlando the night before and arriving at the Arena almost directly from the airport. Boston is an important city for Juan Luis because he attended the prestigious Berklee School of Music there in the 1980s. He also met his wife Nora Vega in Boston. The concert at the Agganis Arena lasted for almost two hours. Juan Luis is the first Latin artist to perform in this 7,000-seat hockey stadium, which was almost filled to capacity for this concert – even at a time of year when there are few students in the city, who usually comprise the main market for musical events.
