Puerto Ricans Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz will be in the Dominican Republic for a memorable concert at the Gran Arena del Cibao in Santiago (30 November) and at the Volleyball Pavilion of the Centro Olimpico in Santo Domingo (1 December). The duo rose to fame in the mid-1960s and is regarded among the most famous salsa music performers of all time. In 2006, the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences presented them with a Lifetime Achievement Award. They were famous for their fusion of elements of classical music and rock with traditional Latin music, but their popularity declined when they converted to Evangelical Christianity. Now they are back on tour. Lizzie Lizzie and Jossie Esteban will also be on stage, representing the Dominican Republic in the opening act. Tickets are for sale at Uepa Tickets.
