Saturday, 8 December is The Long Night of Museums and Altos de Chavon’s Archaeological Museum is celebrating it with an outstanding presentation by ceramist and archaeologist Thimo Pimentel on “Stealth Art.” His lecture promises to combine performance, ceramics, graffiti, photography, GPS use, silkscreen printing, and even video with hidden cameras. It will commemorate the start of the construction of the Cathedral 500 years ago. That evening there also will be a concert with the National Symphony Orchestra and National Choir at the Altos de Chavon amphitheater.
There will be a bus at La Romana Central Park to transport people who want to attend the talk and the concert at Altos de Chavon. For more information, contact the museum at 809 523-8011 Ext. 233 or email Yanet Castillo at email@example.com
