The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announces it has set up a system of appointments for people to get a copy of the ID card, the “cedula”. The appointments need to be requested at the JCE website. The appointments are being scheduled only on Fridays, from 8:30am to 2pm. The service will be available at the ID-issuing centers in Greater Santo Domingo and Santiago for those that are able to secure the appointments.
