Leonel Fernández: Zero tolerance to corruption

Leonel Fernández, presidential candidate of the People’s Force (FP) party, promised “zero tolerance” against administrative corruption and to bring to justice the embezzlers of public funds, “whoever they may be.”

The former three-term President also promised to implement a series of measures against citizen insecurity and organized crime, including reform of the Ministry of the Interior and Police and the National Police.

He questioned why the Central Electoral Board (JCE) remains indifferent to the abusive use of state resources in the current presidential campaign.

Fernández said the new government that starts on 16 August 2020 will have to face the economic and social challenges generated by the coronavirus pandemic. Fernández is campaigning on that being a three-term past President, he has the experience to guide the country to development again.
