
For the second consecutive year, Puerto Plata’s Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) has received VINCI Airports’ Inclusive Dominican Republic 2020 Award at its highest gold level, in the category of Universal Accessibility and Design for All. VINCI Airports grants the award to airports best designed for optimized passenger flow and to allow people with disabilities to enjoy a comfortable experience.
The “Inclusive Dominican Republic” award seeks to promote and recognize good practices that favor full inclusion and the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families in the Dominican Republic. The installations are part of VINCI Airports’ ambition to modernize its infrastructures to offer the most inclusive and pleasant experience to all passengers.
VINCI Airports is the largest operator of airports in the Dominican Republic. The company is responsible for Gregorio Luperon International in Puerto Plata (POP), Las Americas International (SDQ), La Isabela International (JBQ) in northern Santo Domingo, and El Catey International (AZS) in Samana.
