The Embassy of the United States of America will reopen for a limited number of student, exchange student and Dominican resident visas. The US Embassy says that it would take requests for F and M type visas with an I-20 form or a DS-2019 approval for those family members that qualify for F-2 or M-2 visas.
Regarding J-type visas for doctors, teachers, researchers and academics for short-term periods, specialists and students, an emergency appointment can be made.
Appointments for Bi/B2 visas are still suspended. The US Embassy also noted that there are very strict protocols for those who go there for an appointment.
