Only one PCR test will be free per year

The Minister of Public Health Daniel Rivera announced that the government will only subsidize one PCR test per insured person per year as of this year. Other PCR tests will require the interested party to pay the insurer the full cost of the test. The test costs around RD$4,000 in local labs.

The announcement comes after a flurry of tests were made recently after a severe cold circulated, making people think they could have caught Covid-19.
