Accommodations:
Our rooms allow our guest to feel they are in an island oasis. Each hotel room
has a 20” TV, mini bar, A/C, private bath and a private balcony with an ocean
view. The louvered shutters provide privacy and ambiance in a perfect island
setting. Our independently owned one and two bedroom suites have their own
individual charm. The full kitchens and private bedrooms are perfect for large
families or multiple couples. All the suites have private verandas overlooking
the Atlantic Ocean. End your day relaxing in your suite with the fresh ocean and
mountain breezes soothing you to sleep. Look out over the valley and the
Atlantic Ocean from your private balcony while sipping on a Piña Colada from our
piano bar.
Golf:
Playa Grande golf course is one of the most beautiful in the
Caribbean. Designed by the celebrated architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. on an
area of more than 150 hectares (370acres), 12 of its 18 holes are played along
the sea cliffs overlooking the ocean. This challenging course is a golfer's
paradise. Often compared to Pebble Beach, Playa Grande is suitable for serious
or casual golfers alike.
Beach:
There's no better place to work on your tan than by the
brilliant blue waters of our white sandy beaches. Just a few minutes from La
Catalina are four stunning soft-sand beaches; Playa Grande, Playa Caleton, Cabo
Frances and La Entrada. Each beach is naturally landscaped with tropical coconut
palm trees. Playa Grande & Playa Caleton offer lounge chair rental for relaxing
and sunning.
Food:
For a taste of some local flavor you can enjoy shrimp scampi,
lobster, grilled fish & other fresh seafood delicacies prepared on the beach to
the sounds of merengue. And don’t forget to ask your server for an ice cold
Presidente. Our locally brewed beer is an island favorite.
Activities:
The crystal clear fresh water lakes are a national treasure
and a great place to cool down after a day in the sun. Other activities close by
include hiking, waterfalls, horseback riding, whale watching (seasonal),
windsurfing, diving, fishing, national park tours and more. You can also enjoy
our vivacious night life and dance the night away to Merengue, Bachata & Salsa!
The locals are friendly and are happy to show you how to dance the Caribbean
way.
Location:
Only an hour and a half flight from Miami, you’ll find serene
beaches, world class golf, artistic cuisine, a tropical bar, two pools, tennis
courts, massage & salon services, a lovely terrace on which to relax, never
ending sea, sun and in season, Humpback whales migrating to their mating
