I am interested in getting an ongoing conversation with people Living, Working, and Vacationing in or around Cabrera, Dominican Republic. Who also speak very good English and Spanish. I speak no spanish. Except "no hobla espanol"
I want to come and stay their a while.
My son is their a lot of the time. So I want to go also.
I think my main problem is manage with the language. Lessons will be needed.
Second would be the transportation. I'm older and I need a comfortable vehicle that won't cost an arm and a leg to rent or even buy at sometime in the future.
Where to shop and get some of the basics like we have in the United States. Like Milk, soft bread, peanut butter and jelly, oatmeal, olive oil, nice chicken, mild fish. Cerial. Just a good heart healthy diet. The last time I was there I was overrun with fruit and my system didn't take it too well after about 10 days. It got a little ruff.
While waiting to find reasonably priced transportation. Are there reasonably priced deliveries available? Like groceries, water.
My son doesn't drive and mostly gets around on foot. He does well.
If I can work these things out and my life in the Dominican Republic could be reletively easy, I would like to spend some of my time in my later years in life relaxing in this beautiful peaceful part of the world painting my beautiful paintings.
