Thanks. I'm not sure it makes a difference in this situation. Project is near the capital, I live on the north coast. In the 21st century these things can be done via internet. I'll make periodic trips to the project site. So the accountant (I hope) can keep track of hours worked, pay hours...

I hear you! They were given to me by an employee that will be working on our $88 million US dollar project. Reputable person. HE said they had done work for a US company in the past. A company every engineer in the US knows! I dunno.....I'm waiting to hear from them but thank for the heads up...

I think ya'll answered my question! Its not that we did not want to pay bonus and severance, it was about weather we were required to. I have had an employee working for me and the wife for 14 years and always paid those things....and more. Thanks all for the feedback!!!
