Of course this is the first one...the second one being Restoration Day from Spain...DR is one of the few countries with 2 Independence Day...
It has one independence day, there is no such thing as two independence day. That’s why its called restoration and the one from 1821 of Spanish Haiti with its manifesto clearly talking about the Dominican people (despite the DR didn’t become independent until almost a generation later) as the efimeral independence. There is no name for the restoration in 1924 when the US troops left. During the entire US invasion the American flag was waving over the Torre del Homenaje.
